Hi,
I am Ruthanne Anderson, and I would like to tell you a bit about myself.
I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1941, was married in 1962 to
Dick Anderson, moved to Southern California, have three children,
Mark, Darci and Cory, and eight wonderful grandchildren. I have been
truly blessed.
After teaching adult education classes in weaving and basketry.
teaching community college English classes, and substituting in the
secondary education level, my husband, an art teacher for thiry-five
years, and I decided to retire. We moved to Cambria, California, a
small arts community on the central coast. We also have
a home in Durango, Colorado which we head to in the summers.
What to do in my retirement? Because my husband was an art teacher, I
was encouraged to try watercolor painting. I was persistant, and,
with his help, I progressed. Both Cambria, by the sea, and Durango,
in the mountains, are artist's paradises. The colors, the scenes,
the accepting attidues of both communities, tempt and encourage the
artistic senses to be free to express their vision.
I hope my painting can encourage you to 'see' some of what I feel
about my special surroundings.
Thank you for visiting my website.
